3. Printed invitations are a great fit for semi-formal and casual weddings. The most cost efficient and one the most popular invitations are printed invitations. You can find a wide variety of printed invitations available through most stationary and on-line. While the turn around time for printed invitations is faster than engraved or thermographed options, you should order your printed invitations at least six weeks in advance.

4. Calligraphy invitations are appropriate for every type of wedding. These invitations are elegant and are perfect for weddings with an old fashioned theme. There is a large amount of time and effort involved in producing these invitations. Allow at least eight weeks when ordering these elegant invitations.

5. For the non-formal wedding, a printed invitation that is gaining in popularity is the blank invitations. These invitations are found at your stationary retailers or online stores. You will print your own information. This gives you the added option of choosing your design and saving a few dollars.

6. Handmade invitations are appropriate for non-formal weddings. Handmade invitations are cost efficient and provide a personal touch to the occasion. There is no limit to the choices that homemade invitations offer. Handmade invitations are easily created with desktop publishing programs and attractive stationary.
