Hand out these advice and wishes cards at the beginning of your baby shower. By doing that, it gives your guests plenty of time to think up some great advice or special wishes. Or, to get guests mingling, put them on a table and invite them to stop by and fill one out when they get a chance during the party. Choose the type of card. Our Fun Party Tips:
Party tip #1: Instead of putting your guests "on the spot" to think up something profound to say, you might want to give them a card when they arrive and let them know that you'd like them to fill it out before they leave. Then, your guests will have some time to think about what they want to say. You may also want to keep a card box by the front door, so they can drop them in as they leave the baby shower.
Party tip #2: Some hostesses have been known to read them aloud to everyone at the end of the baby shower, but if you plan on doing this, please let your guests know prior to them writing down a message. Some people may find it embarrasing to have their message read aloud.
Party tip #3: Buy a small inexpensive photo album that will hold 4 to 6-in. pictures. After the party, insert each advice card into the album. Not only will this organize the cards, but it is a nice presentation to the mom and dad.
